We are proud to share with you an important milestone: Bulli Surf Club has been officially awarded the CETS – European Charter for Sustainable Tourism.
A prestigious recognition, issued by Europarc Federation, certifying our concrete commitment to the promotion of a careful, responsible and respectful tourism.
What is CETS?
The European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas (CETS) is a voluntary tourism management tool promoted by Europarc, aimed at entities operating in or near natural areas of particular value.
The purpose of CETS is to encourage tourism development that is compatible with environmental conservation by actively involving local operators, public authorities, communities and visitors.
Being part of the CETS network means:
- Adopt sustainable practices in the management of tourism activities;
- Contribute to the protection of the environment and biodiversity;
- Promote the local culture and identity of the area;
- To educate and raise awareness of responsible behavior among citizens and tourists.
An Acknowledgement that Impels Us to Do More and More
This recognition comes after years of activities, projects and events that we have pursued with passion and determination:
shoreline cleanups, educational days, collaborations with schools and associations, experiential and inclusive tourism, promotion of slow mobility and knowledge of the sea through sports such as surfing, sup, kayaking and yoga in nature.
Being part of the CETS network motivates us to strengthen our role even more: not only as a surf school and sports center, but as an active garrison of environmental protection and land enhancement.
A Victory for All
This milestone is shared with those who have always believed in us: members, volunteers, families, instructors, friends and supporters. It is proof that a sustainable lifestyle of daily choices, collaboration and respect can generate real positive impact.
Looking to the Future
Our commitment continues.
We are ready to develop new projects in a network with other virtuous realities, to strengthen our educational and tourism proposal, and to make Castelsardo an increasingly welcoming, aware and sustainable destination.
Thank you for being part of the change. With feet in the sand, heart in the blue … and looking toward a better future.
