On Saturday, June 7, on the occasion of World Oceans Day and the national Plastic Free event, the Bulli Surf Club organized a special morning dedicated to environmental protection and beach safety.
We gathered on Ampurias beach in Castelsardo to celebrate our sea with a concrete and collective gesture: a big shoreline cleanup, followed by an educational meeting and convivial time at our Club House.
An Event Open to All
Children, families, surfers, citizens and sea lovers: everyone brought their energy and commitment. The eco-walk, open to all, proved once again that every hand counts, and that taking care of the coast is a simple but powerful action that can generate real impact.
Why do we do this?
Because the sea is not just a space of beauty and fun:
it is life, responsibility and future.
Protecting it means living it with respect, awareness and love.
And we at Bulli Surf Club do this every day, but even more so on days like this, where unity really does make strength.
A Safer and More Accessible Sea for All
During the event, we wanted to give an even stronger signal by donating concrete tools to the community:
- ❤️ A defibrillator for beach safety
- 🩹 A medical first aid kit
- ♿ A JOB chair to make access to the sea possible for those with mobility disabilities
- 🛟 Our experience in sea rescues, shared with those who participated
Education and Safety: a Meeting for All
We devoted a moment of the morning to talk about marine education and safety, addressing essential topics such as:
- How to recognize the warning signs
- How to deal with rough seas
- The importance of respecting the sea, in and out of the water
An opportunity to learn together and create a stronger and more conscious culture of bathing and experiencing the sea.
A Refreshment in Company… and a Look to Summer
After the activity, we gathered at our Club House in Lu Bagnu, Corso Italia 35, for light refreshments offered to all participants.
It was also the perfect time for a chat with friends and a preview of the SUMMER ADVENTURE 2025 program, full of sports, nature, events and new experiences.
The Sea Calls Us. And We Answer.
