Nature is watching… and rewarding us.
On Saturday, April 26, in celebration of Earth Day and the national Plastic Free date, we gathered on La Madonnina beach in Lu Bagnu for another important day of shoreline cleanup. A simple gesture, but one with deep meaning: taking care of what gives us beauty, energy and freedom every day.
An Extraordinary Event: Nature Speaks to Us
On that very beach, between sand and waves, something special happened:
a sea turtle has chosen to lay her eggs on our coast.
A very strong signal that moves and encourages us. It means that our efforts are bearing fruit, that we are creating a welcoming space not only for us, but also for the wildlife that inhabits our sea.
This achievement is not just ours: it belongs to all those who, day after day, choose to love, respect and protect this wonderful corner of Sardinia.
14 Years of Shared Commitment
Over the years, the Bulli Surf Club has built a true community of sea keepers. We experienced memorable moments together:
- the release of the loggerhead turtle Caretta caretta
- Environmental awareness meetings with students and families
- The events with the “Little Mermaids” for the little ones
- Dozens of shoreline cleanup and preservation actions
But what really makes a difference are the daily actions:
the walks with a bag in hand, the smiles among those rolling up their sleeves, the quiet love for Castelsardo that translates into concrete care.
A Coast to Defend, a Biodiversity to Protect
Cetaceans traversing the Underwater Canyon, turtles nesting, marine biodiversity enriching our waters… all of this speaks to us.
Beauty responds when it is respected.
And we want to keep listening to it, every day.
